I go to a pretty well known college in the midwest. My first semester i didn't do to well and got a 2.33 in some decently hard classes. My second freshmen semester, i received a 3.2. So, i currently have a 2.8 overall gpa.
I just finished applying to villanova for the fall 2008 semester and I am about to pay my application fee. I was just wondering if you think i have any chance of getting in. Or, should i just tough it out one more year at my current school and apply after sophomore year. Thanks for the help.

o yea. In high school i had a 3.6 uw gpa and a 32 on my ACT. I just had a really bad freshmen year in college.

I always think if you can make your essays convincing, and make yourself stand out positively, then stats aren't the end of the world. And otherwise, if you do apply, you can always apply again next fall. if the application fee is not an issue and you can explain yourself very well, why not go for it?

I would suggest you familiarize yourself with Villanova's average transfer GPA and accepted transfer students stats. But seeing as you already completed the application and if you really want to go, then it may be worth it to give it a shot. :)
