should i withdraw from calc?

<p>I did not take AP Calc. I’ve just run across students who decided to retake Calc 1 on the college, despite their credit (engineering majors mostly). They realize they need strong calculus skills to succeed on the college level.</p>

<p>I do think many high school students get too dependent on calculators.</p>

<p>Is that really common, or did it just happen to the OP? I hardly ever got to use a calculator, except in Stats.</p>
