I think the score is fine. Very few schools don’t super score. If you think he can get to at above 1560 in a single sitting there may be some modest incremental benefit. But only you or he can assess that.

I think publisher brings up a good point in comparing someone who took the test once and got a 1530 and three times for the superscore for a 1530 without breaking 1500 once. Anyway at this point, I don’t think the OP’s son should take it a fourth time. Colleges superscore for two main reasons one is to give the student the benefit of the doubt (good), the other to show selective they are (not so good). And this was happening before US News.
Since the overwhelming majority of colleges don’t make that comparison the point is little but a solution in search of a problem.
