Unfortunately, I was not selected as a finalist. Should I still use QB to apply to schools or should I start a common app instead? I’m afraid that not being a QB finalist might look bad on the application, and common app can be a new start for me.
Non-Finalists who need to do this:
- Non-Finalists who trust their Questbridge Applications and Essays, and feel that their finalist decisions were a result of high income, assets, fault on QB's side etc
-Non-Finalists who feel that CommonApplication is inadequate to describe their circumstances and want to gain the edge by applying with Questbridge Application
-Non-Finalists who are applying to 20 places already with their Commonapp. If you are one of these, and getting unlimited SAT and CSS waivers, there is zero cost to applying to a few schools with your QB App too. Schools like EMORY, GRINNELL and COLBY doesn’t even require supplements if you are submitting Questbridge Application. BOWDOIN allows updated essays from non-finalists.
Non-Finalists who are better off applying through CommonAPP:
- Non-Finalists who co-relates their decision with the quality of their QB app. If you can see the blunders you made on your application now, If you believe that you can craft a better CommonApplication, that might be the way to go
Thanks for the advice!
