The heads are adjustable; it’s not nearly that bad. Wildwood’s showers do have a lot of pressure, which is a good thing imo. Cawthon’s showers are terrible.

That guy in the YouTube video ought to use his shower head as a pressure washer to clean the tile and grout in his bathroom–it was pretty nasty looking in his bathroom.

^ They didn’t really clean them for orientation (and if they did, they shouldn’t tell anyone that…), but I don’t think any of us expected to have to clean them for orientation. That was one of the few problems I had.

I was tempted to create another thread, but decided not to. This question has been haunting me more and more as move in day is coming closer.

How would we go to a shower in a community style bathroom, such as Smith. For guys, should we were a bath robe, or just underwear and a towel when walking to and from the showers? Can we change in the shower or its better to change in our rooms after the shower?

Mastuh you bring new heights to preparation for college lol.
Basically go to the showers with short+boxers I wouldn’t reccommend a towel, ive sadly witnessed a couple towel slips last year :(, Go to the shower stall, pull the curtain in front of you (i think Smith only has curtains if not then its a shower door), put your boxers and shorts on the hanger (MAKE SURE THEY ARE SECURE ON THE HANGER, the floors aren’t the cleanest), do your thang, boxers back on (Oh and btw you should bring new boxers to wear ) then go back to your room and change. Get a wall mirror btw.

Hahaha, love the details Sid.

^^One little detail left out above: Mom isn’t going to be there to pick up your dirty clothes! Before you learn to take a shower in the dorm, you need to learn how to do your laundry downstairs in the laundry room so you’ll have some clean boxers to put on when you get out of shower. Too, when you go to shower down the hall bring a key so you can get back in your dorm room.

Thanks Sid!

And Tallalassie, thanks for reminding me about this other question.

If anyone can answer this, for laundry, do the machines accept quarters or the FSU card, and we need to bring our own detergent correct?

Yes to detergent bring your own, and im not 100 percent sure because FSU cards changed this year like you can pay on blackboard and fill your card on the internet, but throughout campus they have the terminals where you can load cash into your card. I’m pretty sure you can’t load quarters. I usually just put a 20 in the card for a semester and that should be good for laundry.

Don’t forget not to wash your colored clothes in the same washing machine with your whites or you’re liable to end up with pink boxers instead of white underwear.
