<p>MIT wants you to write about your research and what you got out of it, and not just send in your paper. Caltech wants to see that paper. Stanford does not want ANY supplements.</p>

<p>Does being a regional finalist for Siemens usually get you into your top choice if you apply ED?</p>
<p>Can’t say how Regional Finalist plays out in ED, but S1 applied to three schools EA. Was accepted at two T-10s, deferred (and ultimately waitlisted) at a third. RD results: two acceptances (flagship w/full ride and T-10 LAC), two rejections (Ivy). He was accepted to his #1, 2 and 3 choices (and the best academic/social fits), so it was all good.</p>
<p>Making Siemens RF and/or Intel STS finalist is not a guarantee of Ivy admission. You will likely have some excellent options, mind you, but nothing is written in stone.</p>

<p>Just to give you one perspective, I was a siemens and intel semifinalist. Applied to 2 top 10 schools EA, got in both. Regular round, rejected at one ivy, waitlisted at another ivy and accepted into another (HYP) and got into several other top 10.
I mean, this won’t be a shoo-in. The entire package has gotta match up.</p>
<p>cool, just got my gift package today. complete with digital camera, multi USB port, notepads, led light, pen, etc. NICE.</p>
<p>+1. Got mine too. Though I wish I could’ve gotten an Ipod shuffle instead of the camera. Oh well, can’t be picky with free stuff!</p>

<p>^Uh i’m from michigan and i haven’t gotten anything yet. Someone else from my school who lives in the same city as I do also hasn’t received anything!
