Signed 2012 Federal Tax Return Form

The instructions on CSS PROFILE and the UChicago website state that the 2012 Federal Tax Return Form needs to be signed and needs to have my name and ID on every page. Can I just electronically sign it and add my names and IDs with Acrobat? Or do I have to print it out D: because as you probably know there are a lot of pages.

We printed and signed last year. Actually, last year they wanted the tax forms faxed to them (for EA apps). So we had to fax these crazy long forms to them (and then they lost it and I had to fax again). :frowning: So they didn’t want you to email the form anyway (which is what you would be doing with Acrobat).

@intparent I am not sure if this is a new feature but this year they prefer that I upload my documents to their online portal

Well… it could be worse, you could be faxing. You could call and ask on Monday, I found the FA people quite helpful when we talked to them. And honestly, in our case they were quite generous with FA in the end, so it was worth posting. My kid decided to attend elsewhere, but the money was good (for us) from Chicago.

why they need 2012 Tax document when 2013 Tax documents will be available soon like in few weeks.

For my D as an EA applicant, they wanted it back in the November timeframe. Not sure why RD applicants would be asked for it, most schools wouldn’t.

I talk to FA person and she told me to Upload both, I did and it was so easy and I can see in 2 min they have it.
