"Signed copy" of 2004 Tax return?

I just received a letter from Financial Aid office stating that I need to submit a "signed copy" of 2004 tax return of my parents. And it also said that I must submit a "signed letter" saying why I didnt file for tax if I didnt do a separate one..

What does this "signed copy" of tax return mean?? I just have a copy of all W2s and etc etc.. but do my parents have to "sign" anywhere?? I am really lost!

And what about the "signed letter" stuff.. indicating why I didnt have to file for tax.. can anyone help? Thanks!

Go to the Cornell Fin Aid site and go to Forms. Look for the appropriate form and sign it and send it back. The title of the form is self explanatory. If you can't find it, post back, I can't recall what it is called.

As for the signed tax form, on certain pages, your parents (the filers) are suppose to sign it before they send it off to the IRS. I'm assuming thats what they mean.

I got the same thing, its weird, I know I sent it.
