Silly things we put in our Free Responses

I had no clue how to #6 on the AP Stats exam this year. I basically bs'ed things where I could, and for parts that I couldn't... well, I had some fun. On part c, I drew a huge sad face. On part e, I start out like I'd bs an answer like this:
The estimated standard errors mean (or something like that...) that I'm going to fail this test. How is it possible that the one thing our teacher decided to skip is 25% of the test? I feel like crying. ): Anyhoo, is it possible to lose weight AND 2 year off your age? If so, I think you've done it! ;D

In response to the "how much do the graders get paid" question, my bio teacher used to be an AP grader, and he said that in exchange for grading thousands of papers for about a week, you get free airfare/hotel to wherever it is the grading is done, have to go through a couple days of "training," and then get a stipend of $1500.

Not too bad, but I dunno if I could do it. :-p

i know kids who for calc free response wrote things like "2+2=5", drew cows, and wrote lyrics.

hahhahaha

So, in eng lit one day we had just gotten a prose essay back, so as always we looked at released, graded essays so we could see what we should and shouldn't be doing. This one kid wrote half a page of random analysis, and then drew a cartoon about nancy reagan. it was pretty much amazing. And he got a four too, which made me mad because I wrote two pages of random crap to get a four.

Oh, and then we were doing a practice for the spanish language test in class a few weeks ago, and for the simulated conversation, we had to "talk" to the Dalai Lama. My best friend said something to the effect of "I don't want to talk to you anymore because I don't like your religion-do you want to come to church with me sometime?" And that was pretty much the end of the conversation. Our teacher actually liked the response, which was the best part.

I think kids at my school take the AP tests less seriously because we only have to pay $8 to take them.

During AP Spanish oral, the kid next to me responded to each of the questions in the conversation with different animal noises. It was highly distracting and amusing....the girl next to me drew a picture of a horse and a farmer as an answer to her APUSH DBQ and a picture of Teddy Roosevelt holding a big stick for her president FR...I kept looking over at her paper like, are you serious? She's taking AP Art something too, so the drawings were actually pretty good. :)

I didn't do anything interesting on mine, I was too stressed out. On the Spanish oral I was rambling on about something or other and I just went, "Ay, no puedo hacer esto, lo siento. Por favor, sea simpatico!" (I can't do this, sorry. Please be nice!)

On last year's AP US History exam I quoted Gilmore Girls word for word...and got a 4.

That question was from hell.

I wrote a short apology letter at the end of my second FRE and I made stamps with my hand

there's a facebook group called "i was raped by the 2007 ap calc free response" hahah it's pretty funny

i thought about writing silly things, but instead just sat back and relaxed and waited for the test to end.

I just wrote "Thanks for grading! Have a nice day!" on my APUSH FRQs. At the end of the DBQ though, I had like half a page, so I wrote "Go SABRES!" really huge (hockey team).

I drew penguins and people saying "no more math!" all over one edge of a free response for calculus. XD And I drew a little penguin at the bottom of all my essays, in lit and in french lang.

It's funny, because I do the same thing! I've drawn people, written stories, jokes, etc.

And another thing that is funny is that my AP Eco teacher is an AP Reader, and she's told us stories about some of the responses she's had to read and grade. She told me that the graders pin up the strangest AD/AS, etc., graphs on the walls of the room for all to see. She called it the AP Idiot's Hall of Fame.

I hope I get there... ;)

friend I know drew a Warriors logo on a bio ?

I drew a little boy and a TI-89 with a question mark over his head.
"YAY SERIES!"

ugh.

i traced my hand physics FR

on physics I drew a girl roasting a marshmallow at the focus of a concave mirror. and then i wrote "physics rocks my socks!" and i drew pictures of rocks and socks.
