Do you think i can get into villanaova with a 29 or 30 on ACT, not sure on SAT, and 3.65 GPA?

Getting into Villanova for business is possible, but will be tough with a 29 ACT and 3.65 gpa. A bit easier if you don’t apply for business

I’m trying to get my GPA up to a 3.8. Do you think that would make it in?

@Jsan81

Note that the above statistics for Villanova represent those for admitted students. The actual class profile for attending students would differ.

True, but OP was wondering about their chances right?

If you don’t mind the Chicago area, you should look up DePaul University. They have a great business program.

Your post provided relevant information, @philbegas. However, since colleges vary in how they present their profiles, I thought the OP should be made aware of that distinction (#44).

@merc81 No worries, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t providing misinformation.

U Richmond is a wonderful school. I have a recent UR grad and another who is a junior. UR is becoming more selective each year and their 25 -75% Ile ACT for accepted students this past year was 31 -33, so it could be a reach with lower ACT scores. Link for student profile:

It is very important to do your own research so it is up to date. More students are chasing merit $$ as college costs escalate, the number of applications for many scools is increasing each year and average stats are rising. Colleges which would have been matches just a few years back suddenly turn into reaches for many students.

Take a very careful look at where your stats/scores fit in when you build your list and make sure it is not too reach heavy. Many schools list accepted student stats on their websites. Enrolled first year student info (often slightly lower than the stats of accepted students) can also be found if you search college websites for “Common Data Set” or look on the College Navigator website.
