Hi,
I just got accepted as a transfer to Simmons College and got deferred by Mount Holyoke.
I must admit I didn't pay as much attention to Simmons as I did to MHC. My biggest dilemma is: should I wait one more semester and compete again for a place at MHC or should I welcome Simmons into my life?
What is Simmons like and does it have a good reputation? What about their financial aid package? Academics?

I'm currently going to a community college and am a permanent resident.
I intend to double major in Neuroscience and Psychology and become a psychiatrist (so, I am filling pre-medical requirements). I am part of the Commonwealth Honors Program.
I withdrawn this last semester because a very close family member passed away. As much as I do not regret taking this time for myself and my family I am concerned that might compromise my acceptance.
I did not have the brightest high school transcript and this is due to family issues. I am legally responsible for a younger sister and have to take care of one of my parents.
My GPA is a 3.5.
I have applied to MHC and Smith 3 times. I was rejected by Smith again, and this time deferred by MHC. It is the 2nd time I applied to Simmons and this time I got accepted, but haven't heard from FinAid yet...

I really can't stand my college, but I would hold on one more semester if that meant being accepted to MHC. However, I am afraid I take this sacrifice just to be denied one more time.
Financial aid is crucial since my family makes less than 30,000/year.

Thanks!
