Simon Scholars Case Competition

I applied for the Simon Scholars Case competition a few weeks ago. Has anyone received an email about being accepted yet? I wasn’t sure as to whether they send you an email letting you know if you were accepted or not, or if they only send emails out to the people that were accepted.

I also applied and was originally told last Friday we would hear. Then I was told this Friday we would hear. Now it’s after 7 and I still haven’t heard. Go figure

I also applied and haven’t heard anything yet. Keep us posted if you hear back from them.

I called again and was told the end of this week, but I don’t know how accurate that is. I hope they tell us soon because if we are selected, the competition is only in a couple weeks.

They just sent out the email about an hour ago. I was selected!!! Good luck to you guys!!!

I was selected too–does anyone know how competitive it is?

Also selected! I talked to my UofR interviewer about this after the interview; she’s a senior and a simon scholar. She basically told me that an invitation to simon scholars is basically an acceptance, and that a good number of students who make it (20-30%) receive the 20k$. However, this was her experience 4 years ago; things might’ve changed.

Does anyone know where we can call to find out more about the competition. Like how many people are actually are awarded etc. ? Also in my email it says you find out about the scenario when you register but I thought we were supposed to find out when we get there.
