Simon Scholars Case Competition

Hey guys,

I just got an email from UofR about the Simon Scholars, which will be held in early February. Did any previous applicants participate in it? If yes, what was it like? Is anyone currently in CC going to apply for it?

Didn't see any previous threads about it, so couldn't really learn more. haha..

Merry Christmas everyone!

OP, was your email a request for you to participate?

what is the simon scholars?

It was just a generic invitation email from UofR…

It is a 24 hour group-competition for a business case. The winning team will receive annually $15k plus the same amount towards MBA. They choose finalists in January who will then attend the competition with a overnight visit at Rochester. (I guess if your a finalist you are basically admitted?) The application for the scholarship is two questions and a 500 word essay. (check their website)

I assume it is generic because I didn’t apply for business major. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this to decide whether or not I should apply

tx for the background. D didn’t get the invitation as far as I know, but she’s not interested in business.
