I am going to dorm there on weekends too since a) my parents don't want me at home by myself and b) the potential mentors I've spoken with have said that I might have to work weekends.

And yeah! We spoke on AIM a few days ago and we definitely should get to know each other better :)

at least some progress was made with me.
I was contacted by one professor, dont know if Im in yet though.

Anyone else get in?

we should create some sort of a contact list for people who's going to Simons so we could know each other before hand :)
(especially for people who might dorm)

Still no final response

:( I got accepted such a long time ago, but I'm still being given options for placements and nothing seems definite. So stressful. I guess all we can do is be patient, right?

sumishashimi,

go on AIM more!

I haven't seen u at all since we last talked (which was before I was accepted!)

IM me at this screenname: noix phallique

The other one I rarely use :)

I'm thinking of possibly applying to this program when I'm a junior. Do any of those who have been accepted have any previous research experience?

FINALLY!
it had to end this way

I had no research experience when i applied. Some pure math stuff afterward.

I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

Found the perfect match mentor-wise so I finally have a placement and everything. :D

And in response to Olive_Tree, yeah I had previous research experience in biomedicine.
