Sorry, spelled the dorm name wrong in the header and can't delete it. Simkins, not Simpkins.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was reported as being “passed out” inside a 2nd floor men’s restroom. When the student came to, he had difficulty recognizing the date and time as he believed it was 8:30 p.m. the night before. The student was asked how much alcohol he had consumed to which he replied “double digits.” The student later clarified his alcohol consumption to some degree by stating he had “at least eight 16-ounce cans of beer” at a fraternity rush party. The student was indeed found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was deemed to be a danger to himself. Occurred on 09/06/09 at approximately 6:00 a.m.

Anyone else get the "Campus Watch" daily email? Today's was a long one, but then again, this was a long weekend. To subscribe to "Campus Watch," click hereSubscribe to Campus Watch

Thanks for this, midwestmom. I had not heard of this email service. I just signed up!

Notice how many marijuana busts there have been at Jester this year? You’d think the word would get around that they are going to bust you if there is a wafting odor of pot going down the hall!!

I love reading the Campus Watch, whoever writes them can be really funny, like last year when he wrote about the amorous couple who were caught fooling around on the archery field - he said they were pierced by an arrow from Cupid! LOL

I noticed that and thought the same thing about Jester. Good grief. Texas is an enormous state; you would think people would figure out there are lots of places you can go to smoke pot besides your dorm room.

Campus Watch is usually very entertaining. Whoever writes it loves cracking jokes at the expense of the criminals.

Gotta love game weekends = tons to report:

GROSS!!! Glad my seats weren’t in that section!!

And then another gem from Simkins Hall:
