will they still accept application updates

i was wondering the same thing, harvard76. i was thinking of sending them new awards, but i decided not to. they specifically say on their website to not inquire about application status so…

yeah dont, i tried and they seemed annoyed. they said they can only review your application based on what you sent them before the deadline.

do you guys know if they ask students to bring laptops or anything?

You don’t have to have a laptop. I brought mine for use in the lab, but it wasn’t required and I never brought it to classes.

In terms of out of state vs in state, it seems to make little difference. Of course, the number of prior interns who are from california is higher than those from elsewhere but we can assume this is because most applicants live in california.

In terms of profiles and credentials, a few students have shared theirs. I also think being an URM plays a large role.

I absolutely agree. If anyone hears anything at all… please post.

I know this is somewhat unrelated but SAT scores came out today and I really wish I could have sent my new scores. I improved by 170.

8 DAYS!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh

@smithevan12: Congrats in the improvement ! I still have to retake mine
@megan…: I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw your post b/c I thought those "H"s were exclamation points, so I thought that the people who had gotten in already got an e-mail. I"m so nerrvouuss !!!

waitlisted at baylor’s program…

@Christy12

Thank you and good luck! I found the test to be much easier once I became familiar with it. Hopefully you can see a similar improvement.

Sorry, but there’s still hope then right?

I am very anxious to recieve notice from Stanford. One week.

I am so nervous…I feel like I probably didn’t get in. I applied for 4 internships this summer and haven’t heard from any of them. How’s everyone else feeling about their odds?

^ a lot better if only i could send in my march scores >.<

i know it doesnt do or mean much but does anybody want to talk about their qualifications and stuff…so we can get a better idea of where we stand compared to the competition

I really wish they would let us add changes. I re-took the SAT and got 2300+ (which is 100+ points higher than what I put down) and I my GPA also went up because my teacher changed my grade from a B to an A (long story). If I’m rejected, do you think I should email them with these changes? I feel like they are pretty significant.

loldanielol: Tell them right now. It will make a huge difference, taking into consideration the competition for this program.

Thanks, but I’m concerned that they’ll be annoyed/put off because the website says not to contact them…I don’t know if I should risk it…

loldanielol- i tried to ask them a while ago but they said they couldnt consider anything i sent them post-deadline. she was polite but she sounded agitated, or maybe i was misinterpreting her tone because i was nervous. i dont see how appealing with your new scores after they release decisions could hurt you in any way, but im also not sure if it would do a lot to help.

soo nervous… what institutes did you all apply for?

Thanks nicholax…guess I’ll just wait for the decisions and see what to do from there. Also, I applied to Immunology, Neuroscience, and Cancer Biology, in that order.
