<p>Are there single dorm rooms available anywhere for freshmen (more specifically for a Regents Scholar)?</p>
<p>Any info, is appreciated, so hit me!</p>
<p>Usually singles are for upper class, seniors and juniors, or for those with certain needs (dissabilities...etc). I haven't heard of singles for Regents.</p>
<p>BTW, you shouldn't really have a single your first year. This is the main time for socializing in your new environment, if you live in a single you either tend to be very secluded, or people automatically think you're anti-social. Also, they cost a lot more :)</p>
<p>What if I don't mind being viewed as "anti-social and secluded" and I honestly don't care about the cost. I know who I am and I simply want a single room. Is that even a possibility?</p>
<p>Not possible. Never encountered any freshman with one.</p>
<p>The thing is, housing makes the most money from triples and the doubles, so they only want to offer those unless you have a good reason.</p>
