OMG
I worked as a bartender through college, so I actually know how to make a pink squirrel!(young folks have never heard of this drink)

The line starts here! Creme de almond, anyone?

^ I almost hesitate to ask, but… what are they planning to do with it?

Is that…shaken or stirred?

I’d be afraid if you could actually catch a squirrel, it would probably be sick or rabid.

brrrr

Catching a squirrel… LOL. I knew some science geniuses who, when their dorm fridge broke in the middle of December, decided to put whatever frozen foods they can salvage in a bag and hung it outside the window of their 5th floor room. When they yanked the sack inside, it came with a squirrel latched onto the side of the bag. Catching a squirrel in a tiny dorm room, as it turned out, was not easy. :D

Haha…poor confused squirrel. We had a flying squirrel in our house once when I was a kid…in the middle of the night…my parents finally caught it and threw it outside. I think my father put on a baseball glove.

:D

No posts since April 8? And it was mine??

I just came over to buy a round since S graduated from college & got a job. But there’s nobody here…

I hate drinking alone!

:D

Every chance we got this weekend we toasted the kid, however. Bourbon, beer, wine, and saki. :)

I’ll join you mommusic.
S, rising college sophomore, is starting summer job tomorrow at law firm…40 hrs/week at a NICE salary. Granted, he’ll probably be doing a lot of xeroxing, etc…
D, rising college senior, starts her full time paid internship in 2 weeks at accounting firm.
Gotta love employed kids!
Also toasting the alumni of kids’ HS…who have twice now hired my kids (and others!)
Cheers!

Congrats to you both!

I’ll toast the new college grads and working college kids! :)

Congratulations!

I’ll drink to that!

My S starts his paid internship at a major int’l bio-tech company today.

:) :)

Congrats all around!

Drinks all around and two umbrellas to anyone who wants them!

I haven’t stopped by in a while and I miss the SA folks.

Hoping all of you are well as I pop a cheeto and raise my glass. Cheers!

Notrichenough, maybe our kids will be coworkers this summer? Congrats! Mine will be starting hers in 2 weeks.

I’ll take the two umbrellas! S2 just found out his TA job for his master’s program not only covers his tuition but will also pay him a generous stipend. Yeah! Of course he doesn’t have anywhere to live yet in NYC this summer, or in the fall for school, but I’m ignoring that for now.

It’s days like this that make me wish I kept a flask in my desk.

DougBetsy–go to your happy place in your mind. Mine is on the deck with some rum over ice & macerated fruit, preferably pineapple.

And pass the cheese doodles! Unless we have some cheese and crackers?

DB - I’m at my desk and I’m enjoying a virtual rum runner is a very tall glass. Much needed, well-deserved.

Because it’s Friday, do you think we order some chips & guac?

Drink up, the world is supposed to end tomorrow at 6:00 PM Eastern time. :)

Post of the day nominee. And personal mantra candidate.

Thanks for the reminder. Can we order pizza & fries then, too?
