Happy Birthday busdriver! DH and I are both turning 50 in a few months and we feel you ger than we did at 40. Enjoy a little Bailey’s in your coffee here at SA. There’s no limit to virtual drinking especially on a 50th birthday celebration!

Happy Birthday, busdriver!

My S is a senior in college and has gotten two job offers and recently accepted one of them! Done with the job hunt six months before graduation works for me.

Would anyone like to share my bottle of Veuve Clicquot with me?

Yay for the new job! throws confetti drinks

Happy Birthday busdriver11. Sent you some greenies too. Glad youll have some time off soon. Maybe see you more in the taxes thread.

dadinator, is that the La Grand Dame? Then count me in. I’ll bring my imaginary vintage Krug with me.

Busdriver, I sent you some birthday greenies. I know how it is with birthdays getting lost in the shuffle.

Lifting a glass of bubbly to dadinator’s employed-upon-graduation son & busdriver’s days off!

Dadinator, I’m in for some bubbly! Congratulations to your S!

Great news, dadinator! Pour me a glass of that champagne :)

Sent you some birthday green love, busdriver.

Why thank you all for the birthday wishes and the green love.

That definitely makes up for the fact that I lost $100 gambling here in the rocking town of Shreveport (okay the truth is, I always lose double of what I actually claim). But I did get two free glasses of crummy red wine for that…so at $100 glass, that’s something! Maybe with krlilies help in the taxes thread, I can write off my gambling losses? Or perhaps you can only write it off against (non existent) gains? Another reason to drink!

Congratulations, dadinator, what an incredible relief that have that worry off your son’s back!!

50 is young! Wait, what are we celebrating? throws confetti insists on everyone drinking a shot pets marmots

So who is coming to the end of the world party?

Happy travels, documentary, birthday and congrats on the new job (nothing like getting your kid of the bank of mom and dad payroll!!). Yes, I miss those marmots!! I’m tossing greenies all over the place!!
I’ll have a creme de menthe :)

Waiting at my computer for a skype call from the small grandson in Israel. I might as well wait in the bar. ;)

Oh, and it’s freezing outside. I’ll have an Irish coffee. :)

My son’s friends are planning to await the end of the world by dancing to Prince’s Purple Rain at midnight, I think a backlash to the plan to listen to Imagine in Times Square. Personally, I think REM’s The End of the World as We Know it hits the spot.

congrats dadinator!!!

i vote REM also… but now left with barry manilow’s…“Looks like we made it”

Manilow’s “Looks like we made it” was my theme song for my own high school graduation a couple years back. :D

Looking forward (but not too soon!!!) to conversations with grandchildren, hope the call worked out mommusic.

Hot coffee, hot chocolate, hot toddy! Barkeep, something hot for my friends!

Breathing some life back into SA for my peeps and anyone who would like to par-tee. Wiping the dust bunnies out from under the tables and getting ready for a celebration. Drinks are on me!

I’m in. Did you find any marmots under the tables when you were cleaning up?

Thanks for cleaning up, jym! Now if I could just get a sweet tea and vodka … or no, make that a Mimosa, it’s 7:47 in the morning.
