okay i got a question. i just sent my sir via mail. i didn't realize i could pay by check online because i just assumed it required a credit card.....so....if i just do it online would they return the check i sent them? i would just leave it but i keep feeling scared my sir is gonna get lost on the way or something....

Calm down. Your SIR is not going to get lost in the mail.

And there are no boogie monsters underneath your bed, either.

Speaking of SIRs, is it binding or nonbinding? I'm still waiting on another college to give me a response on admissions, so I'm planning to make a deposit first for UCSD.

Does it matter if for some reason I decide not to attend in the fall?

As long as you don't submit an SIR to two different schools, you'll be fine. If the appeal to the other school works out then you just lose your deposit at SD.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is slightly related to the last few posts.

I submitted my SIR to UCSD, but changed my mind recently. What do I need to do in order to let them know I won't be attending, despite sending my SIR?

Call the admissions office.
