Sixth College

I just got accepted in the sixth college and my major is engineering. Is it possible changing? My first choice was warren of course. Does it take longer to graduate if i go to sixth college because my GEs don't overlap with my engineering classes. Oh yeah any information about sixth would be helpful too :)

Q: Can I change the college I was admitted to?
A: No. Each college has a certain number of spaces for freshmen. Unlike most universities, your college is not determined by your major. This gives you a unique opportunity to meet a wider range of people. We have observed that once you arrive on campus, you are likely to adapt quickly and be very happy with your undergraduate college.
I'm totally in the same situation, and my major is electrical engineering. I think we can change college after the freshmen year. I want to go to either warren or muir... but... I dont like those GEs at Sixth, so many social related courses =【
can someone please give me some cons and pros about Sixth college, especially for engineering majors? thx very much...

You can transfer to a different college, but you have to prove that doing so would allow you to graduate earlier. From what I've heard, it's pretty hard to do.

In terms of the GEs at Sixth, they aren't that different from any other college. Honestly, most colleges have very similar requirements (the main differences are in the writing programs, which are unique to each college).

I wouldn't worry about your major too much. Once you get your GE's out of the way, all engineering majors - at every college - will take the exact same courses in order to graduate. Sure, you might have to take a couple classes you don't really want to take.. but in the long run it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

i got accepted as an EE major in 6th. what are the pros of 6th?

second easiest GEs(behind Muir)... thats all i heard from others, and i dont know if it is true or not~
