Hello, I am a high-school senior right now. I am thinking about studying 4 years of Computer Engineering or Software Engineering at SJSU. I would like to see what are the differences between the classes within the Computer/Software Engineering major compared to the classes within the Computer Science major? Also, does SJSU have a good programme Computer Engineering and Software Engineering? Out of the 2, which is better in terms of the opportunities in the future. Thanks and I hope to hear from you guys!
You can check on the SJSU web site:
Computer science:

Software engineering:

The SE major has more course work in depth relating to software engineering methodology (CMPE 131, 133, 165, 172, 187), although the CS major includes an overview (CS 160). The latter is probably sufficient for most who go into industry, since it should provide a reasonable base from which to learn the organization-specific software engineering methodology.
Thanks for your reply ucbalumnus,
What about the Computer Engineering major?
