Hello guys! First time posting here! I am currently a sophomore at SJSU studying Applied & Computational Math. I know that going to a CC is a better choice to transfer to a UC but due to parents pressure I could not attend one. Commuting to SJSU gives me depression and I live so close by I don’t feel right in living on campus or getting an apartment there. I also feel bad that my parents gave me a car so I can commute. I am applying to UC Davis for Math & Science Computation. My current GPA is 3.33(I know not the greatest but that was due to a few of my personal problems and me messing around). I have taken a lot of my GE’s at De Anza and am going to apply got IGETC at De Anza. I talked to the counsellors at De Anza and said that I am fine to get the certification. I am taking the last class required for it this Fall 17 Quarter(HUMI 9) at De Anza. At SJSU I am currently taking CS 46B(Intro to Data Structures),MATH 32(Calculus III, Multivariable Calc) and MATH 129A(Linear Algebra I) I think I can pull my GPA to a high 3.3x or low 3.4x. The classes I have taken at SJSU have some articulation set up with UCD(MATH 30,31 gives me credit for MATH 21AB at UCD. CHEM 1A - CHE 2A&2B at UCD) I have 2 friends that transferred from SJSU to UCSD and UCSB respectively albeit their GPA was very high(3.86 and 3.96 for Math-CS and Mech Eng respectively). They both petitioned most of the classes and got credit for it at their respective UC. I am following the coursework that my friend who goes to UCSD now.(He got all his credit via petition) Any tips and I really appreciate anyone that took the time to read all of my rambling. Here is the STEM coursework I have taken so far at SJSU. MATH 30,31,42. Calculus I,II Discrete Math. CHEM 1A General Chemistry. BIOL 10 Intro to Bio CS 46A Intro to Programming.I have also taken these GE’s. SJSU ENGL 1A. De Anza HUMI 1, PHIL 1,3 HIST 17C , BUS 21A, WMST 8, POLI 1. I have one W for SPCH 1 at De Anza because the professor was really bad and it was a 4 hr lecture on Saturdays haha.

Yea I saw that link and I am well in that range for my certain major. Do you think I have a good chance because I am coming from a CSU? Thank you so much for replying by the way!
WOW! that link really boosts my confidence haha. Hopefully it doesn’t really matter that I am coming from a CSU. Thanks a lot!
You can also look up UC transfers by source college to see how many SJSU transfers were admitted to each UC.
