Hello all! As you can see, I am very interested in transferring to SJSU. I was born in the Bay Area (San Jose) and moved to the southern area of California when I was younger. Basically I spent most of my academic career in SoCal but I spent a year in community college in the Bay Area. I didn't do so well when I was up North because of health and personal issues btw. Now that I'm back down in SoCal is it likely that I will be rejected from SJSU due to the fact that I finished majority of my credits from the Southern region of California? I have read that local residents have priority even if they have lower qualifications or GPA requirements than those who have higher but don't live anywhere near SJSU. I want to transfer there for Business (Finance) and I have a lot of family in the San Jose area. I love San Jose and I feel at home there. It would be very convenient if I got accepted but ever since the budget for education has been drastically lowered, I feel as if my only chance is if I move back up. I have a 3.2 gpa which is not so impressive but I am determined to show them that I can progress quickly if I am able to attend SJSU. But foremost thank you all in advance!
