Here are my stats for those of you who might care:
3.97 GPA, 2240 (700 M, 800 CR, 740 WR), 800 French and 770 Literature
VERY unspectacular ECs, as I spend most of my time reading and I run on my own for fitness… No instrument either. Ha

Financial aid will be the sticking point for me. Certainly Skidmore is high on my list, but it’s very expensive. I will scavenging for scholarships over the next few weeks.

Hi guys,
Congratulations to those admitted and good luck to those still waiting!
Just thought I would post this little bit of information:
The the name of the file of my acceptance letter/email was “scan0024”. My reasoning is that I was the 24th person emailed out of over 1000 admitted applicants. Don’t lose hope guys!

Really pleased to have gotten in with good financial aid with a 29 ACT, 3.7 GPA. I took 1 AP junior year and am currently taking 4.
My ECs are pretty standard, I work about 10 hours a week as a cashier though.
I also had a pretty creative personal essay.

I was surprised by the 40% increase in applications, though

He got the early write to Skidmore about 10 days ago, and was invited for the
Discovery Tour in April. Now they have arranged everything and got the air ticket from Costa Rica where he lives.

Sorry I don’t feel comfortable in sharing his stats here, My son never visited College Confidential, but I do a lot. What I have found by going through the college admission process is stats are just numbers. Colleges are looking beyond the numbers that students got. When you are logging in to CC, you tend to think Numbers too much. I now think we do not need to worry about stats too much. To be honest, you will be surprised if I tell you my son’s stats, but his school mates all say he is a very strong candidate that US schools want. He got accepted to another school which rejected SAT 2350 and ACT 35 students.

One advantage my son got; he plays Polo and loves horses. You know Skidmore is in Saratoga Springs.

Thnx @apappy. So odd, our postman came twice today, the 1st time with the usual crap and again 3 hrs later with a big fat envelope from Skidmore – Yay! D is thrilled. 1 down, 8 to go! We are in SF Bay Area.

Yes, I contacted the SPECIFIC admission counsellor who is doing the job. Though I suspect he is only going to email acceptances and have a bot do the rejections/waitlists because nothing has to be attached, probably? NOBODY has heard of a rejection/waitlist on an email from Skidmore yet, right?
