Internationals, anything anyone? I’m scared a little bit :S

I called them a few minutes back and was told that we should expect decisions today. But if they can’t send 'em all out then we will hear tomorrow for sure.

Thanks! :)

@SkidmoreCollege twitter today: decision letters are in the mail!

International, I haven’t received the email yet TAT

Decision didn’t come in the mail today. Hoping it comes tomorrow! Did anyone get their decision today? If so where do you live?

Just got mine on email! Accepted! I live in India.

So if you are an URM, but havent received an email about a diversity conference, does this mean you are rejected? That would be kind of strange.

Daughter is hispanic; received email awhile back so she could make travel plans to attend admitted students activity for minorities; also emailed me last week as well. Packet to be mailed yesterday 3/24.

I’m a URM (Hispanic), in CT, and did not got the email conference invitation. Nothing in mail today. Expecting a rejection I guess since I wasn’t invited to the diversity conference.

@pari13 Stats please?

According to the letter, this was the “most competitive year in Skidmore’s history” with the “largest and strongest” applicant pool" they’ve ever had and 8700 applicants vying for 690 spots. Congratulations to those of you who were accepted!

Every school says the same thing!

@staceyneil- did you get a letter today in the mail?

NOPE

@hermomma
Yes, a thin one But it’s totally OK with my D. She’d already decided where she was going!

@9241libom
yes, they all say something LIKE that, but I suspect that Skidmore’s “most competitive year in history” claim is true: there will be admissions statistics that they will have to reveal in the common data set that will back it up. I doubt they would make such a factual claim if it weren’t true. Other schools usually say something more generic like, “Unfortunately, because of the nature of the competition, we were not able to admit some very good candidates.”

Waitlisted
I’m thinking about accepting my place on the list. Sorta disappointed but there’s nothing I can do I guess. I don’t really know what exactly it means to be waitlisted? Like what the conditions are? Because I know that they inform you if you’re accepted from the waitlist well after the normal deposit day of May 1…

Stats: 28 ACT, 91 GPA unweighted at a competitive private high school. Lots of ballet and other extracurriculars.

Congrats to those who get in!
