Skip College app!

Ugh I really want to skip over the whole college application process...toooo stressful..anyone with me?

so you don't want to go to college? :b

The underlying assumption is that I do want to go to college lol. I mean..some college sent free apps with no essays...

If you don't, then you're on the wrong forum! : D

I just feel CC forums are filled with overachieving and competitive people, including me. But people who go to first-tier schools still know how to relax. Can this be an imagine-there's-no-college-app thread? :P

I wish I could submit an application in any kind of format I want

I'm with you, St. John's in Queens sent me a "priority app" with no fee and essay. It sounded appealing, but I just couldn't see myself going there. Oh well.

I just wish I could get all of the non-me parts of it done NOW-meaning the transcript (which will be a hassle to get at my school) and recommendations.

But..I don't know...I am actually excited to go to college...so I feel like doing the app is getting one step closer.

I wish college adcoms have mind reading power that will allow them to know me as well as I know myself.

I'm too excited for college, I've been wanting to go since Sophomore year.. Just the college app doesn't sound so appealing especially it involves a lot of strategies that even students who for sure is adequate for the school don't get in if they don't know HOW to do their apps..

Just take it step by step... start filling out activities, then the 150 word max short answer on an EC, and then the essay...

That's if I don't have two SAT IIs to take in Oct T_T

It's something many go through...relax and get over it is the only thing I can say.

I really don't think it's that bad, filling out an application and writing a couple essays. I may not understand it completely, but I really do think that people are overrating it and overstressing it too much as if it's the most difficult, challenging thing ever.

Any hobbies?

I think CC people are overrating it. My friend who's applying to Penn, Standford, and Cornell is writing two essays a day. It all depends on your perspective. Overstressing vs. being relaxed, who knows which one is good. For me, I feel like I tried harder if I had been a bit stressed about it, not saying it's true.

Tons of hobbies: drawing, tennis, building random things during free time
then again, "free" time has left my dictionary a long time ago..
