skipping U0 from ib?

since im in ib right now, i will probably go to U1 if i'm admitted to Mcgill... my first choice university.
any thoughts on whether that's a good idea? will i miss all the fun and be hard to make friends? wat about the courses... i'm looking at science. would classes be difficult to maintain good GPA?

any comments would be appreciated~~

Actually, most student come from Quebec and start as U1, so making friends and attending FROSH won't be a problem.

you can still attend frosh and live in rez.
i'm a u1 from ap credits and i went to frosh and live in rez

i think i'm looking at skipping a year as well.
but wouldn't it be difficult to make friends in rez as most people there are U0? wouldn't it be really hard to meet people of the same year (because i heard most people make friends in rez)?

Skip the year if you can-you will make friends-doesn't matter. Think of your bottom line. If you have the credits to be U1-do it.

my friends are a mix of U1 and U0's (as well as older students)
it honestly doesnt matter.
do what ever makes the most sence academically.
really, believe me, it doesnt matter socially

If you enter as U1, can you skip the whole campus housing thing. I know you make more friends from on campus housing, but living off campus is so much cheaper.

no matter what, you dont have to live in rez. yoou can always skip it.
but also, it doesnt matter if yoou enter as a U1 or U0, you can live in rez.
