haha, i once pulled an all-nighter before an ap bio test (for the class) b/c of a history paper and english paper due on the same day. i fell asleep during the lab write-up and woke up to find "And then he was dead" written. I think I was dreaming about squirrels or smth.

I usually take the friday off from the school before the sats, and cram as much as possible in that day,and went to bed around 12am and started studying about 10 days before the actually exam, b/c it'll get my brain tense up and remember stuffs quicker...

u dont study anisha...admit it...and u love that name too...admit it!!!

heyy!!..i do study..a lil bit at least..give me some credit maannn hehe..and i hate this sn..and i hate u!..hehehe..no i dont ..yes i doo!..hehe

I study, sleep, and then wake up to study, in which i study up to the point i have the test if i don't understand the concepts that well

Definitely sleep. It is so much better to go in relaxed than to be all stressed out because you spent your entire night looking at information and thinking that there was no way you could remember all of it. The tests are definitely easier than what is in the book. I mean, be familiar with the format of the test, but if you have taken a class on the subject you should be fine.

SAT I: Don't even bother. Sleep.
SAT II: Depends on the subject.
AP: Review the major themes, then sleep. Keeling over in the middle of the AP is easy to do, and will get you a 1.

AcaDec: Who needs sleep?

i'm taking 3 subject tests. i plan to catch up on a lot of lost sleep after this saturday

I'm kind of the same way as aim. Although, maybe if I were to get 8 or 9 hours of sleep a night consistently (whereas I very rarely ever get that many hours) it would make a difference.

I'll usually go to bed around 12 or 12:30 and I never stay up cramming past 1 or 1:30 -- because then I become too drowsy to do any kind of effective studying -- and I wake up around 6:30.

I'd say a balance between the two works best. Too little sleep will hurt you, but you obviously need to make sure you understand the concepts (or memorize events if it's history or something) to do well in the first place.

sleep definetely. w/o sleep you can't think straight. study hardcore until about 30 minutes before you plan to go to bed, shower, then sleep. Wake up. Drink some green tea (that's what i prefer), coffee, mountain dew, take a no doz, aderall, concerta, or anything else that keeps you awake and helps you focus. Eat some protein in the morning (my ritual is to get a waffle house omelet the night before and heat it up in the morning). Avoid sugar, you get an energy rush for a lil bit then crash right when the test starts.

Well, if I sleep too much, I end up being more tired. Yeah, I don't get it either.
You should just stay on your normal schedule, so your body doesn't go crazy. Go to bed/get up at the same time for the few days before, and you'll be fine.

i read somewhere in a magazine and other ppl have told me that showering after studying is a bad idea. this is because you allow your brain to relax too much during the shower and the flow of the hot water has a numbing effect on the brain. in other words, you forget most of what you just studied. so advice=shower before studying. also, i've found showers to be awakening. then you can stay up later!!

3 hrs of sleep last night...wOOt

i make sure to get enough sleep. actually, i get paranoid about getting enough sleep nearly a week before the SATs! but i also study quite a bit. i just make sure that i study enough beforehand that i don't have to cram all night. if you're studied-out already, it can't be worth it to exhaust yourself and psych yourself out by studying all night.

If it is a major exam like AP or SAT, then I am getting myself a sound sleep the night before.

I may do some tai chi or yoga to help me calm down.

The point is DO NOT STUDY. IT IS USELESS.

Red bull has addictive stimulants in it; do not drink it.
