sleeping in contacts

I wore one months for about 5 months until one tore.

I have acuvue astigmatism contacts. Sometimes I can sleep in them and be fine, other times my eyes will feel terrible the whole next day. i try it a little too often. usually i get better results if I do it before my contacts turn a week old. One time I did 2 nights, and my eyes were so bad the next day that whenever I went outside, I had to close my eyes hard so that I could produces tears to wet my eye and provide temporary relief.

I used to sleep in my contacts every day, literally. No, to whoever said this, the contact will not, nor can never roll to the back of your eye. When I first started wearing five years ago, I was freaked out by that, and made sure to ask my doctor about it.

Anyway, the damage I got from wearing contacts while sleeping is severe cornial abrasians (sp), which is more or less, the contact scratches at your eyes while you're in REM and causes damage. Also, my eyes were red a lot of the time because they couldn't "breathe" due to wearing them for extended times.

what happened to all the old posts?

It seems to have reverted back to 18 January, around 11 AM.
