sleeping tips

^^ any of those books induces a migraine :D. especially chem.

i know it may sound stupid but i even put on cotton balls in my ears and those things you put over your eyes when you sleep. the goggle like sunglasses of black cloth...? and i've tried sleeping reeeally late but i ALWAYS wake up at 6:30 am flat!

counting sheep= makes me hungry... o.o

Nyquil? does it have any side effects?

I once read Dickens and feel asleep for 10 hours afterwards because it was so bloody boring.
I could not do that with any other subject, however.

Dickens definitely made me want to fall asleep. Why do you need a whole page when you can just say, my name is Pip?!

Nyquil may have some minor side effects, but none that I have ever experienced. So, it's all good.

My brit lit teacher HATES dickens. She let us just watch tale of two cities, the movie because she said we would not want to read the book and it's way too descriptive and boring for us.

You remember one of my earlier posts, I see. I also hated the long bickering between Estella and Pip.

I feel the same as you, kman1456! No more Dickens for me if I can help it.

it's a lesson learned for them paying him by the word.

at least i didn't have to suffer.

I read six pages, then dozed off and threw the book back in the pile of books to be turned in.

Luckily I didn't have to read it all. My class just watched the movie instead.

We had to read the whole book (took a semester) and then had to take a final. A week after we returned for second semester the teacher took off and did not return for the rest of the year.

You guys got a lucky break!

You got a break; we did not, as we had to read the Odyssey and Romeo and Juliet the next semester, which were just as bad.

ha yeah, my lit teacher despises dickens as well.

Just wanted to add, sleeping with any light on is supposedly bad for your eyes long term, so you probably want to turn it off either way.

My class is about to read Romeo and Juliet as soon as we get back from break.

I loved the Odyssey and Romeo and Juliet was OK. It would have been better if my current English teacher had been my teacher then to explain all of Shakespeare's references to, uhhh, baby-making.

wait in high school? what grade? that book was so pointless but i remember us in 7th grade when we watched the movie and saw the nudity

Are you serious? Is sleeping with a lamp on really bad for your eyes? I do it all the time 'cuz I'm afraid of the dark...I'm not even kidding--serial killers hide in the dark...and Chuckie.

logisticslord, we watched the rated G version. I'm also in 9th grade.

Yeah, in high school.

crazyapp, you need to take computer applications courses
