Sleeping too much?!

The past two weeks I’ve been sleeping past my alarm and missing first period. I also am falling asleep as soon as I hit my bed, usually I go to sleep around 12-1 but now it’s more like 9-10 I’m literally sleeping 11+hrs a night and still wake up drowsy and tired. What is wrong with me?

Try going to bed a little later. Aim for around 9 hours of sleep per night and see how you feel after that. If that doesn’t work, you might want to consider making a doctor’s appointment

You’re body might be under too much stress. I mean I feel you with sleep deprivation from usual 5-7 hours of sleep but this is possibly you’re body demanding rest or simply you might wanna see the doctor if this becomes a huge issue.

If you are having issues despite getting 11 hours of sleep, it may be time to contact a doctor.

Normal sleep deprivation occurs around 5-6 hours of sleep while 8 hours should be sufficient sleep for a person.

If you are getting 3 hours more sleep beyond what is sufficient and still becoming drowsy and tired, then there may be a medical condition involved.

Too much sleep can make you tired. Aim for 9, but 8 is okay too.

I agree, you should see a doctor. It could be stress or it could be something wrong inside your body. I wish I had your problem :slight_smile: I can never get enough sleep!
