Slight factual error on the SAT essay

So on this last SAT Essay portion, I talked about the american colonists and said something about the olive branch petition, but the thing is, I called it the olive branch treaty. Will the graders take points off for that?

No. You could literally make up facts up on the spot and as long as you have a solid essay you could still get a 12. Save the facts for your APUSH test.

Remember, the scorer’s don’t really have the time to check facts unless you get a history teacher or the like you should be fine, even so scorer’s understand the time constraint so an error so miniscule should not be counted against you.

I don’t think the graders will notice or make a deal about it. If you said something bizarre like, “President Kennedy was shot by a bunch of flying monkeys with bows and arrows,” then they’ll probably call BS.

Lol. I made up Generals that didn’t exist and stick them into battles that weren’t even part of the War that I mentioned in the essay.

I wrote about the battle at fort duquesne during War of 1812 (really French and Indian War) with General Gearheart (Totally made up person that is kinda based on General Broddock) and got a 11.

And TBH even if you wrote “President Kennedy was shot by a bunch of flying monkeys with bows and arrows” or anything else that is blatantly factually erroneous, but it advance your argument and is pertinent then you’re still alright.

If you want some LULZ: <a href=“Page not found – Experts Corner | Applerouth”>Page not found – Experts Corner | Applerouth;

Seriously, “In the 17th century a young man by the name of Martin Luther King Jr., a young pastor from Cincinnati, took his cues from the venerable Abraham James Lincoln, a seasoned lawyer from Ontario.”

I’m done lol. SAT essay is a joke.

They don’t fact check. A prep book I read actually told me to make stuff up if I needed examples.

I made up an entire bill on my SAT essay. Including the names of the backers and numbers of supporters and people affected. Got an 11.
