Small Class size. Do Colleges Care?

Hey guys I've been freaking out the past week over this, and I want to know your insight. Basically, I go to a private school, but its really bad... like all jokes aside, I think that a zone school is better than my school. Aside from the fact that its bad, I have a graduating class size of like 10, and that really scares me because I see these posts about kids coming from classes of 250-1000! So my question is... How do I convey a message to the college that even though my school is private, its really really really bad. And do they care about class size.. if they do, how can I try to "polish" that part of my application

Don’t post serious questions in the chances section. That is just for guessing games, not real questions.

No they don’t care about class size, that has nothing to do with YOU.

Why do you want to convince anyone your school is bad? To what purpose? That seems to me it will only undermine you. Just worry about presenting yourself. Forget about this silly stuff.

@BrownParent‌ regarding first point where should I post this question ? And secondly, because colleges want to provide opportunity, and I lack that in my current environment. I don’t want them to think that I go to one of those elite private schools…

The College Admissions section is good for general admissions questions. The College Search and Selection is good for looking for specific colleges. Students use the Chances section to guess if other people will get into specific colleges based on their objective and extracurricular qualifications. “What are my Chances to get into Harvard” etc.

Colleges know very well what the elite private schools are. They will also get a school report from your GC which will have some data about your school on it. Don’t go out of your way to explain your school–that is not your job. It also sounds negative like you are knocking your school and that isn’t attractive. If your school doesn’t offer you enough opportunity, you are expected to do some enrichment on your own.

@Brown‌parent that’s exactly what I’m doing, but colleges constantly favor URMs and things of that nature, so that’s why I ask. As for class size … If I put “10” will that have any impact
