Small mistake on application

I forgot to put that I had a sibling (I thought it was only for legacy purposes or something like that), but noted that I had to watch over him for a couple years in the extra info box.

Should I contact admissions or is it not a big deal?

thanks!

you’re fine.

lol, yeah…it is no big deal

If you’re applying for financial aid you should definitely get that changed. Saying forget about it is HORRIBLE advice!

If you’re not applying for financial aid, then don’t worry about it.

^They’ll see the siblings thing on the FAFSA. It doesn’t matter if you put it on the app.

I accidentally said we had four dependents on my application and didn’t notice until after I got accepted-- as in four people in my family, rather than TWO dependents. But it was correct on my FAFSA so it turned out to be okay.

^ Haha, I put 4 dependents on the app too, counting both of my parents. It wasn’t by accedent though, I actually thought they meant for us to list them, seeing as our parents depend on their own income as well o_O. Do you think I should correct it, or let the FAFSA do the work?

I would like to say, “I would correct it,” but I didn’t, actually. Do the financial aid people ever even have their hands on your application? I don’t know why they would. It was done correctly on the FAFSA, anyway, but to be on the safe side correcting it would probably be the right thing to do.
