Small, rural LAC good at math at econ

Right now I've a small list consisting of Grinnell, Oberlin, Colgate, but I don't know of any safeties. I'm a transfer student btw, so I know exactly what I want out of a college. Thanks. State and weather are not a factor, but keep in mind schools like Bowdoin and Williams are really hard to transfer into. :-(

How about Carleton? Judging by the other schools you've listed, it would probably be a match, but I hear that it's good for econ.

Knox would be a good safety. Or if you don't mind a hippie environment, Hampshire would also fit your criteria, and would probably be a safety.

carleton's also probably the best LAC for math in the country. dunno it's transfer stats, though.

Carleton is really selective for transfers, I'll look at Knox and Hampshire though. Thanks.

Hamilton, Colby, Bucknell, Lafayette, Union, Franklin & Marshall are all relatively similar to Williams, Bowdoin, Colgate but somewhat easier to get into.

Take a look at Denison U in Ohio.

Agree with Denison. Also look at the College of Wooster, Bard, Kenyon, and Lawrence U.

thanks for the suggestions. Are there any more? I'm excited that Wooster has a breakdancing club! :)

Harvey Mudd may be worth considering. It isn't rural, but everything outdoors is within access for you (skiing/beach/hiking/climbing).

St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN, same town as Carleton) has one of the highest numbers of math majors in the country.

Washington and Lee has the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics.

Holy Cross-near Boston, Lafayette College, Bucknell.
