My school is ranked #3 in AZ and #10 in the U.S,and is a very small college prep school; I only have 51
people in my graduating class. I am ranked 11/51 with a 3.91 GPA and 2340 SAT, mainly because of
there being 7 valedictorians; does my class rank ruin my chances at a selective college such as an Ivy?
I don’t think it will hurt you. It will be obvious to the adcoms that you have a small class. I’m actually surprised your school even ranks with such a small class size. But, your other stats are great. You will not be overlooked because of rank.
You’ll be fine. They understand that the school is rigorous and that you have a small class.

Albeit this was 10 years ago, but my high school graduating class of 47 had a median SAT score of 1490/1600 - I think the valedictorian had a 4.0, but I’m not sure if he did, at most, he was the only 4.0 in the class. Off the top of my head, what I can remember from back then was that 9 kids were accepted to Brown (6 enrolled), 4 kids went to princeton, 4 to columbia, 2 to yale, 1 to harvard, 1 to penn, 2 to williams, 2 to pomona, 1 to bowdoin. That’s already 23/47 kids. You tell me if you think class rank held them back.
Highly ranked private prep schools are not usually judged using the same criteria as regular public schools. Prep schools don’t generally rank students either. Your 2340 speaks loudly enough to alleviate any concerns about your abilities.
