I attend a DoDEA school, and my senior class has 33 students. I’m the valedictorian with a weighted GPA of 4.372 (end of junior year). I’m taking 4 more AP courses this year and I’m expecting straight As (maybe one or two A-s). I will have taken 12 AP courses by the end of senior year. In the context of a larger high school (say 600~800 kids), where do you think my rank would stand? Near the top? Top 10%? Would top colleges try to fit me into a larger school and see where I stand in terms of GPA? Thanks.
You’re overthinking this. You’re fine.
You will be compared to the students in your HS. Chill.
College admissions officers are used to looking at students from all different types of HS environments. They get applicants who are home-schooled, who are from public and private high schools of every size and level of competitiveness etc., who are from religious and secular schools, international applicants etc. They will figure it out just fine. And in general, it is not worth spending time worrying about things that are outside of your control. Relax.
