Does anyone know how many students were admitted last year fall 2016 from waitlist? What can an applicant do to enhance their chances for admission from waitlist. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately just 1 was admitted from last years . But the prior year was 132, so you just never know.

D was wait listed as well. Accepted her spot. I believe she will be sending a letter of continued interest. It was her first choice. We are headed to the NE over Spring Break & she will do an overnight at Mount Holyoke. She was awarded the 21st Century Scholarship there. Thinking we may stop in at Smith as we are right there.

I think definitely stop. Maybe call ahead and see if your regional representative will be available.
Waitlist here, too. I’m going to be stopping in next week while visiting my boyfriend at Williams. Hopefully us physically visiting will demonstrate interest. And hopfully they take more than one from the WL this year!
@edgeook8 If your college counselor is willing to speak to Smith and emphasis your interest and unique traits, this can make a major difference. Your goal is to get them to take a really serious second look at you. And by all means let them know of anything new in terms of awards, achievements, changed circumstances etc.
Has anyone been accepted off the wait list for the Class of 2021?
I read somewhere else that the wait list was opened but then closed the same day. I don’t know how many were accepted from the wait list though.
