<p>I remember there was a boy in our study group back in graduate school that chewed tobacco. He used a large styrofoam cup as a spittoon. There were 3 girls in that group and after about 2 weeks we stopped attending. Just a glimpse of what was in that cup was enough to make us all sick. Plus the constant spitting was just awful. And that big lump on the side of one cheek…</p>
<p>It’s been a big thing in both my high school in Georgia and my college in Alabama. It’s absolutely vile, I don’t even see the appeal.</p>

<p>@GMC2918 - That is a really good question. I’m writing this before looking at my kid’s Student Handbooks, but I have to imagine the whole e- cig thing has been addressed and they’re banned. I wonder if any boarding schools allow them… I doubt it, but I’m curious. </p>
<p>Banned at DS’s school-- but he’s seen both e-cigs and chewing tobacco in the dorms. No regular cigs, though.</p>
