Snow day

Well not the whole day. But we got out about an hour early today, since we just got 5in of snow, and it still keeps on comming.

yay I'm coming home to Chicago tomorrow and it's snowing there! I'm in Rhode Island now and we got our first and only snow so far two weeks ago.

HAHAHA! It's in the seventies in Georgia! I'm wearing short sleeves

wish we had snow. never snows in socal..`

The place I live rarely snow, so I thanked god when it snow and my school canceled, even though I don't believe in god :)

I'm in Maine- and NO SNOW. In fact, it's practically warm.

5in and your school is let out, if school starts we need about 20in for them so cancel it and otherwise it takes like 10in for it to be cancelled otherwise and freezing rain usually also needs to be involved.
But anyway yesterday was the first cold day of year, but it was still raining, hasnt changed to snow, just yet although it was snowing a short distance away.

I love snow! I can't get enough of it here in Ohio! It's the northeast for college for me !

Snowed like crazy here yesterday in Chicago. It wasn't fun driving home. The snow plows are never there when you need them!

5 inches? hahaha.. We need about a couple feet before they cancel.

our superintendant (who is the only one who can cancel school) is from colorado (born, raised and used to teach there) so we'll have a good 6 inches, and he still won't cancel school. You just can't tell this guy he's not in colorado anymore, he's in ohio

knavish where do you live? It usually takes a couple of feet to come down (or totally icy roads... i mean literally covered in ice) to shut down school. im in alaska.

Ugh, I hate snow.

I live in WI, and I just loathe it.

I have to park my car in the driveway, so it takes me 10-minutes just to get it road ready on a snow day.

We never have "snow days," they can always predict when a big storm's going to hit and get the plows going before they need to be. And it's never as bad as you think it is. In fact, the only days I can remember that we got off for weather was a day where it was so cold that the school buses didn't start, and we got to go 2 hours late because of black ice once.

I envy you people in California.

Perhaps I exaggerated.. It's closer to about a foot.

I live in the most boring, deserted state ever.. SD.
Can't wait for college (in a different state!)

heroine, on sunday it snowed one- three feet in the mountains in socal (i live in the mountains). It never snows in the cities of socal though.

gosh I miss the snow....stupid florida...hope i get into a school up north...
