Snow days!

2 Snow Days in a row!

Is anyone else LOVING this icy weather?

:DDDDDDDDD

As a student on campus, I’m going to have to say “no.”

But I bet all the high schoolers are having fun. I’m sort of jealous. But, tomorrow is a study day and classes are officially over, so it isn’t that bad…

It seems like every where you walk on campus the wind is blowing in your face. I could walk one way against the wind, turn around, and it would still be against me.

I nearly died trying to walk a block to the union a few hours ago. It’s SO ICY. I slid all the way there. And then someone walked up to me and was begging for my wendys and I couldn’t get away quickly without falling!

I miss snow days.

It may just be me, MLDWoody, but I honestly can’t remember the last time the wind was at my back. I think I grievously offended the weather gods or something. I’m going to try to walk to the s.state party store in about half an hour… hopefully I don’t turn into an icicle halfway there.

And yes, I love winter weather… provided I am wearing plenty of warm clothing. :)

I just walk backwards, I don’t care if I look ■■■■■■■■

dam i wanna go to michigan so baaaaaaaaaaaaaad

i want sum snow!
ill make urine popsicles!

i’m from south florida…50 degrees is “winter” for me. i’ve seen snow once.
just wondering how i would be able to handle a michigan winter…
hahahaha

Invest in the right clothes, and you’ll be fine. But as others have noted, there’s not much you can do about your face, especially in windy conditions.

I saw someone wearing a ski mask that made them look like a panda. It only takes a good week or so of living in Ann Arbor before you stop being surprised by anything you might see.

Yeah, I guess you could that…

But it’s not something I would do. :P

Some time about mid year through Sophomore year, my Daughter, from sunny CA, finally stopped talking about the weather. That’s when I knew she was (finally) happy at Michigan. (She is a senior now.)

Having grown up here I never realized how sensitive some people are to our winters. I went to a Campus day event in March 09 and there was this girl from Florida practically in tears begging her dad to take her back to the airport not ten minutes into the presentation because “it’s TOO COLD HERE!!!” I remember the dad saying, “so this must be pretty darn cold even for Michigan, right?” and my father laughed because it was like 40 degrees outside, and they left.
