Snow days

If there's one thing I love about Atlantic Canada, it's that we get snow days all the time. Storm systems move in like clockwork and last night we got 15cm of snow and then rain, so it's basically a giant sheet of ice and slush out. Beautttifful. Something similar happens about once every two weeks.

The timing has to be right though. The city has an extensive fleet ready to deal with snow, so if it starts at 8pm the plows take care of it. All the kids know that ideally it should start coming down around at around 3am-4am and be most intense at 6am when the school board makes a decision to shut schools down.

What does it take to cancel school where you live? I've heard of people freaking out with 1cm in places like Virginia

Hey dude.

I live in kansas, and if you dont know, its basically a dumping zone for every weather system in the nation.. i dotn want to tell you what it takes to cancel school here so let me tell you the direct quote on our schools website, i bielive you will understand.

"Rain, Shine, Sleet or Snow, USD 259 is always go!"
