Snowboarding?

Got accepted EA, wanted to know how far the nearest mountain is/does anyone usually take trips there? thanks!

I don't know how far away the mountain is, but Carolina does have a skiing/snowboarding club that takes a couple of trips every year.

Chapel Hill's more or less in the middle of the state; so anywhere from 3-5 hours to the mountains, and then about 2 hours away in the opposite direction is the beach. Never been snowboarding, and of the people I know that do, they usually go out of state.

North Carolina Ski Resorts, Ski Resorts in North Carolina, Skiing in North Carolina

Thanks for the asking this/responding you all, I was wondering too. As a snowboarder and surfer it's nice to be somewhat close to each. And to be closer to the beach I've gone since I was 5 months, my favorite, Hatteras haha.

Well since I live in Chapel Hill, I should probably answer this question.

I've been skiing since I was like 3 or so, and when I moved here from LA, i was definitely worried that i might not be able to ski as much. However, depending on who's driving, the closest ski resorts are 3 hours away, give or a take 30 minutes. A lot are in Boone, NC, (Appalachian, hawksnest, Sugar etc) which is about 3 hours away. If you do park like me, you will probably like App ski mountain (appterrainpark.com) more, but if you just want to make some groomer turns, check out Sugar mountain since it has more vertical.

Anyways, Chapel Hill is situated nicely in the middle of NC, so skiing is about 3 hours away, and the closest beach is about 2.

I eat, sleep, ski and surf, so i'm a pretty reliable source haha
