So AP Language kids

MC: Aced it, ~7 questions on which I decided between two answers, everything else I was confident about.
Synthesis: Aced it, thinking a 7 or 8.
FR 1: Did pretty well, thinking a 6 or 7.
FR 2: It was alright, I'm thinking a 6.

probably 5, maybe 4 if i somehow screwed up.

I <333333333333ed the synthesis question.

i'm confident since it was WAAAAYYY easier than the other ap's i took already.

wow, you guys must be geniuses...

i'm not confident i did so well on any of them... and i have 95 avg in AP english...

yeah, it was easier than i expected...pretty good overall

i think i aced the MC except for the sling question.

i felt so stupid today after taking the test because
a)i didn't finish the mc
b)i didn't finish my essay
b)i don't know what i was thinking when i wrote 6 pages for essay 1.

my teacher especially told me that i had to control the flow of my thoughts because i always end up writing too much. and haha, i did it again today. i wish i can re-do this whole thing.

mc was fair but there was a problem with this kid in my testing room and people kept walking in and out and our proctor kept talking on the phone with other administrators to decide what to do with that kid. so i couldn't concentrate during the entire fiasco.

the essay was really interesting, i thought. i did number 1 first and then moved to number 3. when i got to 2, i only had like 20 minutes left but i had so much ideas(diction, repetition, figurative language, allegory, allusion, sentence structures) but i couldn't finish it because i didn't have enough time. so it sucked and i regret spending too much time on the 1st essay.

so for future test takers, manage your time well and don't stay on one question or essay too long no matter how many ideas you have!!!

and, what is the highest essay score you can get if you didn't even finish? i wrote 4 paragraphs and only analyzed 3 devices :((((((

MC was pretty hard. First and last passage killed me. Middle ones were pretty easy though. I didnt finish and didnt get to answer 4 questions plus i omitted 1 so thats 5 in total and im pretty sure i did bad on the ones that i did answer.
I beasted on the essays though. They were so easy, especially because i almost did the same exact essay for essay #3 about 3 weeks ago except that the one i did was a DBQ, but it was almost the same word for word.

If i did as bad as i think i did on MC then i think i got a 3. If i did a little better than what i think i did, then a 4

I think we're not allowed to go into detail about the essays, like the topic and stuff, but other than that, I think we're okay...

But yeah. After sitting on it for a while, I'm thinking that maybe I didn't do SO bad on the deconstruction essay...perhaps a 5-6 at the worst...

The last one however, I was kinda bored, and I attempted a qualify stance, but ran out of time. Eep. Most likely a 6 or 7, which I'm okay with.

Synthesis - Pfft, easy as pie :>

MC - euh, I thought I did fairly well...but maybe I'm being too overconfident? O_o

Personally:
MC very easy, passages weren't as boring as usual practice ones i took.
Essays were okay. I liked synthesis, but didn't like the third one.

I wound up taking (what's probably) the more unpopular of the two stances on the argument essay, because otherwise it would have been another complete and total BS SAT essay and I hate those.

Haha same, I brutally defended free-market capitalism (too much Econ prep sinking into my brain).

I didn't think it was that hard at all and the essays seemed very easy.

The first passage in MC was really hard though, I thought.

Every single person in my class started LOL'ing upon reading the synthesis topic. It was great.

That was my easiest test this year (well...it should be, given the others were Bio, Physics, and Calc AB). The MC was WAY easier than my practices. I had roughly five minutes left over.

I opened the essays, and the synthesis essay made me laugh so hard. Stupidest question in the world, but it was easy. Prose analysis was kinda difficult, but do-able, while the argument was pretty simple too. My persuasive was WAY too corny though...haha.

If I don't get a five, I might be disappointed. But a four will suffice. I'll just take it again next year if I do.

MC was easier than the practice tests my teach gave us. There were a few I omitted and several I probably missed, but overall I thought I did pretty decent. The synthesis essay was good - nothing special, the analysis was lackluster, and the third essay was really awesome. I did a similar prompt to the third essay the week before, plus I studied the essay the morning before for errors. When I first saw it, I laughed, because it was as if I had already written it. I also included this witty historical reference in one of my essays, although I have a feeling the readers won't like it.

I answered all the MC w/ little or no difficulty. even the ones i thought were "iffy" seemed to be very straightforward. I think i got no less than 8 wrong (hopefully.....) The synthesis essay was crap--- i seriously had nothing to write about it; i just kept restating what 3 of the documents basically said: that they are useless. i tried to make it personal my using an anectodote/experiences to make up for the lack of substance. I wrote a lot for the 3rd essay and did a good job tying in both pros and cons. the 2nd essay was OK, even though i didn't use a lot of terms. Overall, I felt very good after the test and will be surprised if I get anything lower than a 5.

Probably 3-4.

There are starving kids in Africa and we're writing an essay on the essential need for a penny in our currency... x_x

That being said, i thought the MC was hard, then again I'm never good at the MC, im hoping 30 right 20 wrong...

I thought my essays were well written, just not long enough. All my essays were 2 pgs each (1 pg front and back)...and for sum reason all the example essays my teacher has shown us that received grades of 8 were usually like 3 pgs on average...i hope got a 4 ;p

@JJ09: you mean, 1 front and 1 back = 2pages or 2 front and 2 back = 2 pages?

mine were kind of long i guess but i write big letters when i'm under time pressure.

prompts to me seemed fine overall
last one was too much like an ACT one though ugh.

I only wrote two pages for each of the essays (even the synthesis, since I didn't really have an opinion on the subject- it was almost like another argument essay!), and my handwriting isn't that small. Do you think I'll get points off for that? I tried to be concise, but they only give you 40 minutes...

I liked the MC, especially the last passage. I'm hoping for a four ^.^

wrote about 2 for each of the essays and 2.5 for the synthesis one. they felt a little bit short though to me...
Also, english (writing especially) is one of those subjects that i dont think many people have an accurate judgement of their own abilities (no offense). Since it is so subjective, a student could be getting straight A's from a teacher and think that he/she is a God at english, and still be a mediocre writer in the grand scheme of things.
