I thought it was fairly easy. Expecting at least a 4, but hopefully a 5.

the Multiple Choice was EASY. I did poorly on the second essay, but good on first and third. Expecting a 4 or 5.

The MC was easier then what I practiced with, so I think I did decent. I didn’t really like any of the essays, and by the third one I was about to fall asleep so needless to say it sucked.

The MC was not easy, but I mean, it was expected. The essays were somewhat easy–there was nothing to throw me off at all, and the rhetorical analysis essay was very straightforward, unlike most of the others I’ve done. I think I could be getting a 5 on this one.

With the exception of a few questions, I found the MC quite easy. The essays were also easy but I found the argument topic a bit uninspiring.

The MC was so much easier than what we were all used to, except for that one question with the abbreviation. None of us knew what that meant.

As for the essays, I really REALLY liked mine, thought the prompts were interesting. I kept myself amused during the third one by figuring out why dead baby jokes are sometimes funny, sometimes not.

The MC was easy…I did get the abbreviation one wrong but that was the only one I didn’t feel really confident on.

Essay #1 I thought was pretty easy…I really liked my intro and conclusion but the argument in my body paragraphs wasn’t as tight as I would’ve liked it…probably a 7, maybe a 6
Essay #2 I thought was straightforward enough. I didn’t have a TON to say though, so my essay was a little short. Quality, not quantity, right? Hahaha probably a 6
Essay #3 was fine. I’m expecting maybe an 8, probably a 7.

Hopefully I’ll get a 5, but I wouldn’t be crushed if I got a 4.

for the rhetorical analysis essay, was it really that straightforward? because I’m afraid I missed something there…

The m/c was easier than I thought. I was worried cause it’s usually my weak point. Essay prompts weren’t as hard as I expected…

If you got around 28-30 for the final m/c score, what would you need to write to get a 3 or 4?
Thanks

How long was this exam. I know they are all around the same length, but some were definitely a bit longer than others. Spanish was long; Chem was relatively short. My son is taking it right now and I am wondering when to expect him home.

The multiple choice takes 1 hour and the essays take 2 hours plus a 15 minute reading period. He probably should be home soon.

Thank you iluvap. I’m sitting on pins and needles. I am hoping he thought the MC was easy. He usually is good at MC, but definitely not for English AP. Heavy, flowery writing with hidden, subjective meanings not based on any objective, practical reality. I’ve taken a look at a few. They make my head spin!

^^^
I believe you are talking about lit.

Both the multiple choice and essays were easier than the practice tests I’d taken. I finished the MC with about 15 minutes to spare, so I wrote cynical comments in the margins of the fourth reading passage. (:

Nope. I’m actually talking about language and composition. But if lit is even more extreme, then we will keep that in mind for next year!

MC was the easiest I’ve ever seen. All the previous years’ APs that we took as practice have been so much harder. I mean, there just wasn’t any that I honestly couldn’t answer other than the one citation question -which, if you eliminate and use some logic, was still easy to answer. A lot of the answers were found in the text, which is unusual for this level, and the interpretations for many answers was very straightforward. There was many questions where I was able to just pick up the right answer without elimination or even re-reading the context.

Essays were generally okay. Q1 had so much you could write about -ended up going four and a half pages on that one, but I felt it was necessary to come across a strong amount of main points. As for Q2, I think I wrote a quality analysis but I thought that I maybe could have written more. I didn’t like Q3 at all. I came up with some decent examples, but it just didn’t feel as strong as the former two.

Predictions:

MC: ~53/54
Q1: 8/9
Q2: 7/8
Q3: 6/7

I was really worrying about MC going into the test. Curves of previous years left a lot to be desired, and the practice tests we took were rather difficult. I thought I would really have to work on the essays to make up for the MC, but I actually think MC was a strong point this time around -and that’s definitely new for me.

Didnt think it was that bad! i felt really prepared for this exam.
after the test a lot of the kids in my class went to our teacher to tell him how it went and he said “my friends, i knew theyd be throwing 80 on the test, so i gave you a toothpick and threw 110.” haha so im really happy im done with that class!

You guys didn’t know the abbreviation one? That was really easy! It’s so helpful when you’re writing papers haha.

Overall pretty easy…

Answered 52/54-felt pretty good about most of it.

FRQs- First one- took a long time to write----but it was OK.-hoping for at least 7+
2nd one- I felt it was my best- hoping for at least 8+
3rd one- Did NOT like it—hoping for at least 6+

OVERALL-wishing for a 5!

Answered all MC, no trouble, I’ll get like 40 at LEAST
FRQ 1: 7-8
FRQ 2: 7-8
FRQ 3: 6-7

High 4, low 5 :D
