So Confused . . Which Junior Year Schedule is Better?

Schedule 1:
IB Physics SL = AP Physics
IB English HL - Year I = idk, AP English Language
IB Math SL = PreCalculus, I take AP Calculus AB after that
IB History HL - Year I = APUSH
IB Spanish SL = AP Spanish
Orchestra
Science Research

Schedule 2:
IB Physics SL = AP Physics
IB English HL - Year I = idk, AP English Language
IB Math SL = PreCalculus, I take AP Calculus AB after that
IB History HL - Year I = APUSH
IB Spanish SL = AP Spanish
IB Film SL
Theory of Knowledge

I want to take Orchestra and Science Research, but with the full IB Diploma, wouldn't have space in my schedule to. Does the 2nd schedule look MUCH better to top tier colleges or is the 1st one fine as well?

Thank you entomom!
I'm aiming for top 15/ivy league schools, hopefully.

The first is fine, in both schedules you have 5 core classes which is what counts.

Bump, please!

Personally, I’d go with the first schedule since I agree with entomom.

I just found out I can take the full IB Diploma and Science Research. Does that change the responses?

I thought you needed 3 HL courses for an IB Diploma…

Isn’t TOK a senior year class?

If you can complete your Diploma with both schedules, pick whichever one appeals to you more. Personally, I think the opportunity to research is a great way to flesh out your application and really distinguish your interests, but your first priority should be getting the IB Diploma.
