so far at ORIENTATION 101 (what happened day one)

so another question here.

i got a facebook message from a 3rd year UCLA guy who invited me to a hangout at his place during my orientation which is this week. he said he wanted to be a good older bruin because someone did that for him when he was a freshman.

i'm really excited to meet people. but i kind of feel like this guy is gonna rape me.

thoughts?

^ umm you should be very careful with that. he's trying to lure you in... if you don't know him AT ALL then don't risk it!

haha thats what i'm thinking
and i'm a guy by the way.

i just don't want to be bro raped

Bahahahahaha. That is hilarious. I wouldn't do it if i were you. It might be a prank or something.

If it's a random guy, don't do it. It's stupid and he's desperate in some sort of way. There may also be a possibility of something else happening (that I can think of), but that happens at night and outside ...... and it's actually fun ...... not for you but for him (or them).

haha.. my OC told me that some other OC's go undercover as UCLA students and try to invite you to a party or something, and if you agree you have to pack up and leave...

maybe they went to extreme measures to catch someone =</p>

You're not allowed to go to parties during Orientation???

more problems actually finding the parties, Sir !

They ask you not to go to any if you're invited, but they also tell you, "you're in college and you make your own decisions."

Haha yeah that's what I thought. I guess calitennisgirl's OC was exaggerating to get them not to go haha

.

Are we allowed to use calculators for Math diagnostic test??

^yes, but they aren't really necessary... it does help you a little bit but not a lot

Probably not what this guy wants to do, but invitations like these are invitations to get wet at the amusement of older students (pretty childish ones in my opinion ...).

are you talking about a golden shower?

soooo

how are the classes so far? I'm going to 110, am I gonna get screwed over for classes? (ie night classes everyday, etc)

the classes you choose right now are only for the first quarter right?

also do students in the school of engineering get priority for classe? >_>

check Schedule of Classes Home Page to see if the classes you want are still open.

and yes they are for first quarter. the site has tentative winter and spring classes posted (telling you what will be offered) but the prof info isn't decided yet.

bring up my thread.

most questions about orientation have already been answered here -- don't have to make new threads.
