So honestly

How hard IS it to get into Bryn Mawr? It doesn’t seem nearly as selective as an Ivy, thank God, but I probably couldn’t get into it. Has anyone attended this school or have personal experience with it, that could tell me?

By the way:

That’s all I can think of for now…Out of curiousity, Do you think I have a chance? How hard is it, exactly?

You're right... Bryn Mawr has become more selective over the years, but it's still not up there with an Ivy.

Sarah, are you a junior this year? Are you applying RD? Your GPA is okay, but can you get it up a little bit before you apply?

I see that you're taking AP classes. Are you taking the tests, too? It would look good if you received high scores on those.

Your ACT is definitely where it should be... you shouldn't feel the need to retake it unless you want a higher score on science.

You seem like you have a strong background with EC's. Be sure that you demonstrate a passion for English Lit/Composition. Submit short stories/essays to contests in magazines or compiled books, send in a supplemental writing piece or two with your application, and contact the English department chair and speak with them about opportunities within the department.

Good luck, Sarah!
