So how does the Gregory Gym work?

So... I'm a student, and I haven't been here in Austin for very long... how much do I have to pay to use Gregory Gym? I feel stupid, but I couldn't make much sense of the site... any experiences? Also, how is the gym?..

Unless you want to Rock climb, or take specific classes like kick boxing or the like, everything is free to use with a swipe of your ID. There are actually 2 major gyms on campus. 1 is the Rec which is down San Jac on the right of the stadium, and the other is Gregory. Gregory has better swimming and cardio facilities such as an indoor track, a couple pools(i think, I don't really swim ever), and quite a few treadmills with lcds built into the console. Also it has an extensive amount of racquetball courts as does the Rec. The Rec has a better weight lifting facility which is bigger than Gregory and much less crowded. If your a guy looking to lift weights, Gregory is a nightmare. I personally prefer the Rec since it is much newer, nicer, and less crowded. The weights are better, and the facility just feels better all around. If you don't plan on lifting weights Gregory is awesome for pretty much everything else.

Free??? Well, hot d--n! Haha... thanks for the info. I'll definitely be checking it out in the next couple of days.

Well ok its not free... take a look at your tuition bill next time around, that's your price haha.
